Pro Tip

The take away is one of the most important stages in the golf swing. You must make sure your shoulders turn the club. So many people move their arms but resist turning the shoulders. This will cause inconsistent shots as well as rob you of power and distance. Practice your set up and repeat the movement by taking the club back with your shoulders not your arms. At first it will feel like the back swing is extremely short and incomplete. After awhile it will feel better once you add the wrist hinge and complete the swing. Like anything this movement will take time to properly execute but, once you get this down your distance and accuracy will greatly improve. Do this over and over until your shoulders take the club away automatically. A great example would be Bryson DeChambeau’s golf swing. Watch his golf swing for a great visual.
